The 2016 Squat Challenge began on 2/1/2016 with 1,119 participants signed up to complete the 3 month endurance event. In the end a little over $15,000 was raised and split between the Green Beret Foundation and Team RWB. This page memorializes that effort and the efforts of those who participated and did exceptionally well during the event.
Event SWAG
People who participated in the event received a Squat Challenge Shield patch and those who completed at least 10,000 squats received a tab as well.
Participants who reached the second and their tiers were given the option to purchase additional patches at the lower level tiers to complete their collection.
In addition to the morale patches we sold t-shirts and ranger panties to help cover the costs of the event and raise additional funds for charity. The shirts were on Next Level Apparel Tri-Blend fabric and received rave reviews.
The ranger panties were on SOFFE running shorts and turned out amazing as well. These items were only available to people who signed up for the event.

Squat Challenge Praise
Like many of you, I started this challenge with the goal of hitting the minimum 10,000 as I also dealt with many other personal challenges. Not surprisingly, the squat bug bit hard and being a part of this charity challenge community helped me to surpass my goal, as well as others I set along the way. I’m so happy to have joined this group! See you all at the next challenge
I am in awe that more than 100 people did 30,000 or more squats! Great job everyone! I thought 10,000 was ridiculous when the challenge was announced and if it hadn’t been for the February challenge to do that many, that’s all I would have done. Thankfully, I knocked those out so I could get to 20,000 by the end of April.
What a wonderful challenge. Did way more than expected and enjoyed the community and all the support. Looking forward to whatever is next!! And only doing a reasonable 100 or so squats a day from now on. Lol
Well I had every intention of shooting for 30,000 when I began but as you can see didn’t quite make it π life kinda got in the way… lol… but I’m so proud of myself anyways! This challenge made my legs stronger and helped me achieve two New PR’s in my back squat and front squat! Which I was ecstatic!!! π π π
Awesome job to everyone!!!!
